Komfort 600 Series Partitioning system

The Komfort 600 Series Partitioning system comprises a 50mm thick aluminium framework, incorporating solid plasterboards panels. Glazing is available in many single and double-glazed configurations to suit the customer’s requirements. Most glazing uses 6.4mm thick laminated glass due to it being readily available, but 6mm thick toughened glass or 6.8mm thick acoustic glass is available if required. The glass is secured within the aluminium framework using either a matching aluminium or plastic bead.

Venetian blinds fitted between the double glazing is an attractive option. Alternatively, film manifestation fitted to the glass provides some privacy within rooms.

The framework is polyester powder coated, colour to suit your requirements from the BS4800 or RAL ranges. In addition to these solid colour ranges, there are also several anodised finishes available.

Solid panels, decorated with vinyl wallcovering, can match the existing structural walls and be a contrasting colour when compared with the aluminium framework. The potential combinations are endless and provide opportunities to create a unique design.

Although the Komfort 600 Series Partitioning system is truly versatile, the sound insulation and fire-resistance ratings are not as good when compared with other available systems. If sound insulation and fire resistance are important for your project, then it would be best to select a different system. The Komfort Komfire 100 series and the Komfort Komfire 75 series partitioning systems are both be good alternatives. The values below give some idea of the performance achieved when using the Komfort 600 Series.

Provides up to Class’O’ spread of flame as per BS476: part 7 but does not achieve half-hour fire resistance. Sound insulation values achieved with solid panels are up to 31dB (Rw), single glazed up to 35dB (Rw) and double glazed up to 40dB (Rw). The sound insulation values relate to BS5821.
