Construction & technical
The Komfire 100 Office Partitioning System uses a 50mm thick steel framework clad either side with a double layer of 12.5mm thick plasterboard forming a solid partition wall. Fibreglass fitted within the partition cavity increases its sound absorption qualities.
The aluminium framework is polyester powder coated, colour to suit your requirements from the BS4800 or RAL ranges. In addition to these solid colour ranges, there are also several anodised finishes available.
The plasterboard is either decorated using a vinyl wall covering or painted using standard emulsion paint. Plasterboard joints are either filled to produce a flat surface or concealed using a matching aluminium cover trim.
Aluminium pre-assembled glazed window units are available in many single and double-glazed configurations to suit your requirements. Most glazing uses 6.4mm thick laminated glass due to it being readily available, but 6mm thick toughened glass, 6.8mm thick acoustic glass and 6mm fire glass is available if required.
Both timber and glass doors are available for this system. The options on timber door finishes include polished wood veneer, laminated and paint. Doorframes are either aluminium, hardwood or softwood. Glazed doors are available from the Komfort Sonik range which has various matching doorframe options.
The Komfire 100 Office Partitioning System can achieve up to 60/60 fire resistance with a sound rating of up to 52 dB (Rw) in the solid configuration. Glazing will achieve up to 30/0 fire rating, with a sound rating of up to 36dB (Rw) when single glazed and 41dB (Rw) double-glazed.
